1964 Dodge Dart Convertible is the FEATURE Mopar for January 2002. (Kate's story): My childhood was spend being shuttled around in my mom’s Plymouth Voyager. We named it Vanna Brown. My dad drove a silver Dodge Dakota we called The Silver Bullet. So I guess Mopar was in my blood early. The first time I saw a 1964 Dodge Dart, I was in love. I knew I had to have one. The 64s are just special. So much about them is they are a one year only, and 1964 was the 50th anniversary of Dodge. I think it is the best looking Dart. I am also a huge fan of the slant 6. It is one of the best motors ever made, and too many people don’t appreciate them for how great they are. Back to my childhood…my mom really wanted a Chrysler LeBaron convertible, but it was not practical with kids, so she ended up with Vanna Brown. I bough my Dart after my mom passed from a long battle with cancer as somewhat of a big a memorial, and I wish she was here to cruise around in it with me. Life is short, so never put off your dreams no matter how unpractical they are
